Being active as a dj in the vibrant scene of Istanbul since the late 90’s, Emin is a familiar face to those who did some nightshift in the city, during the past 25 years. A regular vibe-setter at the cities renowned clubs, bars, parties and  festivals; a musical curator for various radios, events and venues, Emin’s knowledge and interest in music span over 30 years of digging and a kaleidoscope of styles varying from house, disco and techno to jazz, funk, world music and some other kind of oddities. 

Despite his smooth mixing style, Emin is a strong advocate of “selection over technique” mentality and somehow always ready to have a little chat about this particular topic. However, having this chat would mean, that you’ll get exposed to a bunch of boloney starting with “back in the day” and probably got bored the soul out of you with topics  like “smartphones killing the vibe”, “synch button is for losers” or the infamous “vinyl or digital” debate. 

Fortunately, once you manage to skip that part and put Emin behind the decks, what you’ll get would be quite the opposite of “boring”. Relied for  injecting his captivating grooves, swirling funk, emotive deepness, and glowing psychedelia into dancefloors, Emin is considered among Istanbul’s most open minded and versatile selectors, with a distinctive style and deep floor-knowledge.

Recently Emin is occupied as a musical curator at Istanbul’s in demand cocktail bar “Tavern”, besides performing his regular duties in the booths of his hometown and beyond.
